Ken Heisler has 30 years of experience in the professional staffing industry, particularly in the accounting and finance division. His knowledge of the market and ability to find executive talent is unparalleled. Ken is known throughout the industry for his honesty, service-minded attitude, big-picture thinking, and sense of humor. He is a professional networker and a Master of Building relationships.
Throughout Ken’s career, he has been continuously driven by two main objectives: Sourcing top talent executives who bring positive change to his clients and finding life-changing career opportunities for candidates. The partnerships between Ken’s clients and candidates are the driving force behind his dedication to his career. Thus, these successful partnerships are what launched him as Co-Founder of Heisler Kopp Executive Search.
Ken began his career in Accounting at KPMG, but soon realized that he wanted to use his knowledge of accounting differently. So, he started working in the accounting and finance staffing industry through a Minneapolis staffing firm, where his out-of-the-box thinking earned him the title of Vice President of the Search practice. After a decade of working tirelessly in the field, he started Meyer Executive Search where he continued to place CFO level talent on a retained basis.
Most recently, Ken was Managing Director of the Search practice at Salo. It was here where he founded and managed the Business Development Search Team, and continued sourcing accounting and finance executives for 17 years.
Ken is a certified public accountant and an honors graduate of The University of Oklahoma, where he received a Bachelor of Accounting. He lives in Hastings, Minnesota with his wife and three daughters. He enjoys hunting, fishing, traveling, college football, and golf.
